Fashion Porn: Diesel

Posted on 10:56 AM by Metropolitan

Diesel is an Italian fashion house founded in Molvena, Italy in the year 1978 by Renzo Rosso. They are known for their creative advertisement campaigns that are provocatively aimed at the young adult market. Unlike many of their competitors Diesel’s products are geared towards a youthful lifestyle as can be understood from their tagline “For Successful Living”. As such, they have become an integral part of youth culture internationally, and are known for their high quality garments of dynamic style.

Provocative and creative commercials such as this one have helped fuel interest in Diesel over the years.

Diesel currently has as its creative lead director the Dutchman,Wilbert Das who started his career with the company designing clothes for the male line of Diesel. His innovative approach of blending streetstyle with runway chic has created a unique style appeal that has helped transform and shape the direction that Diesel has taken in recent years. Diesel is recognized for producing casual clothing with high stylistic factor, and their products range from clothing, footwear, eyewear, jewellery and timepieces, to name a few. The company has also collaborated with other companies, such as Adidas to produce some special projects such as “Adidas Originals Denim by Diesel”.
